The ELIMU SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM is one of the main initiatives under the Love for the child association. It was started by LOCA members who saw a great gap in the society for education and hence launched this program to benefit children who could not afford an education. The ESP kicked off in 2015 with a boy currently in Nyeri High School, form 3 and in 2017 three other children were enrolled to benefit from the program. Currently the program is sponsoring four students. LOCA members participate in the ESP by making a monthly contribution of Ksh 100 per person through our m-changa platform( pay bill number 891300; account no 4249). This has seen the funds raised grow to over Ksh 500,000+ against our current target of Ksh5,000,000. The selection process is open and transparent.
